Alice is an innovative 3D programming environment that makes it easy to
create an animation for telling a story, playing an interactive game,
or a video to share on the web. Alice is a teaching tool for
introductory computing. It uses 3D graphics and a drag-and-drop
interface to facilitate a more engaging, less frustrating first
programming experience.

StarLogo is a
programmable modeling environment for exploring the workings of
decentralized systems -- systems that are organized without an
organizer, coordinated without a coordinator. With StarLogo, you can
model (and gain insights into) many real-life phenomena, such as bird
flocks, traffic jams, ant colonies, and market economies.

PhET (Physics
Education Technology) simulations animate what is invisible to the eye,
such as atoms, electrons, photons and electric fields. User interaction
is encouraged by engaging graphics and intuitive controls that include
click-and-drag manipulation, sliders and radio buttons. By immediately
animating the response to any user interaction, the simulations are
particularly good at establishing cause-and-effect and at linking
multiple representations.
